Monitor has confirmed the authorisation of three new foundation trusts effective from 1 March 2010:
Monitor has used its regulatory powers to require the Board of Milton Keynes NHS Foundation Trust to appoint external expert clinical advisers to assist the foundation trust to accelerate the delivery of improvements within its maternity service.
Chris Mellor, acting Chair of Monitor, has today announced that Dr David Bennett has been appointed as the interim Chief Executive of Monitor.

Monitor has confirmed that Humber NHS Foundation Trust will be authorised from 1 February 2010.
